The Piaget reference 14101, equipped with the Beta 21 movement, is an iconic watch from the 1970s that illustrates the watchmaking innovation of the time. Faced with the emergence of Japanese quartz watches in the 1960s, several prestigious Swiss manufacturers, including Piaget, joined forces to develop their own quartz movement, resulting in the Beta 21 caliber.
Introduced in 1970, the reference 14101 is distinguished by its generously sized rectangular 18-carat yellow gold case measuring 41 x 33 mm. It features a tiger's eye dial, a fine stone with shimmering reflections, giving each piece a unique appearance. The gold hands add a touch of elegance to the overall look.
